It also works wonders for acne on the body. The pursuit of smooth, soft, glowing legs is endless—especially for someone like me who has thick, coarse body hair (TMI?).
Shaving usually creates blemishes that I cover with body makeup or skin-brightening oil, rather than the standard silky soft legs like a razor blade. That's why when I saw a product that was literally a "bump eraser," I had to try it.
TikTok's latest hot product for summer is First Aid Beauty's Bump Eraser ($28 at Sephora). Thousands of videos online show people trying out body scrubs on their legs and arms, and the results show that it actually removes blemishes and leaves limbs glowing and soft.
I don’t think I’ve ever felt such an impact in my life. The TikTok beauty community rave about this scrub for treating body acne, bumps, hyperpigmentation, and strawberry legs — symptoms I suffer from.
I tried the peel for a few months to see if it would suit my coarse body hair and pigmentation. Here are my honest thoughts:
It calmed down a lot of acne on my body. Many TikTok commenters talked about how this scrub provides both chemical and physical exfoliation in their videos, making it ideal for those who may be prone to acne
It contains pumice polishing beads to remove dead skin cells from the skin's surface, as well as 10% alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), which is essentially a chemical peel.
After the first few uses, I didn't notice much of a difference, but after the third or fourth use, I noticed a reduction in the occasional acne breakouts on my thighs.
While some scrubs can cause irritation and actually cause acne and redness on the legs, I'm really happy that this scrub is also suitable for sensitive skin.
It makes shaving easier. I've been trying a few ways to use it, both before and after shaving (and in between shaves).
It really doesn't do anything for my skin when I use it after shaving, but I like to use it before shaving. I almost feel like the pumice stone is relaxing the hair follicles on my skin, making shaving easier.
This scrub feels very nourishing and hydrating too. While it did (much to my dismay) not get rid of any bumps on my skin, my skin felt softer after shaving than it had with my regular body wash and shaving cream before using the razor.
While I don't think this product lives up to the TikTok hype, I also recognize that I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum when it comes to having thick, coarse body hair (most of my South Asian friends can do that) Due). and --- associated).

That being said, I know a lot of people who use it and rave about how smooth it makes their legs. If you have fine or thick hair, if you're just looking for something to reduce acne on your body or nourish your skin before shaving, you're going to love TikTok like it promises.
