BYD Rever's leader believes that some Thai people's eagerness to own an Atto 3 is due to the limited supply of electric vehicles in the country.
The press once reported that a customer had to travel nearly 800km from Chiang Rai to Bangkok to order an Atto 3 because BYD dealers in Chiang Rai only accepted full payment in cash due to few cars - only 5,000 units for the whole country.
Another factor leading to the phenomenon of customers queuing overnight is the record high fuel prices, causing many consumers in Thailand to switch to electric vehicles sooner.
The relatively reasonable selling price - 1,199,900 baht (800 million VND) - of Atto 3 is also an important factor. This price is lower than most other electric car models available in Thailand.
Distributor BYD Rever even admitted that they predicted that the Atto 3 model would sell well, but did not expect that customers would line up overnight to register to buy the car.

BYD Rever said they will close the book immediately after receiving orders for 5,000 cars, and will not sell more to ensure quality after-sales service. This distributor believes that after-sales service is the deciding factor whether customers will continue to buy BYD cars in the future.
Regarding Atto 3, this is a small electric car model, using a 60.48kWh battery pack, capable of running 420km per charge (WLTP standard). The electric motor is placed in front, producing 200 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque.
BYD Atto 3 uses an AC Type 2 charging system with a capacity of 6.6 kW and DC fast charging with a capacity of up to 80 kW. This model also features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) power delivery like the Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6. Accordingly, the vehicle can provide regular AC power to devices or loads such as lights, laptops or even refrigerators.
