Automobile manufacturers are racing to equip electric vehicles with large capacity batteries, allowing the car to run longer after each charge, but according to Mazda leaders, this is not necessary.
CEO of Mazda USA - Mr. Jeffrey Guyton has expressed his disapproval of focusing on making electric cars capable of running longer after each charge, because he believes that it is not a sustainable solution for the future.

According to Mr. Jeffrey Guyton, most consumers really don't need a car that can run 300 miles on a charge (more than 482km) or more.
"I don't think it's a truly sustainable solution," he said.
When talking to Green Car Reports during the launch of the rookie Mazda CX-90 2024, Mr. Guyton said that electric car owners will change their priorities and needs based on actual experience.
