This is the first electric car model under the Maybach brand, the car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100km/h in 4.4 seconds.
Over the past few years, Mercedes-Benz has continuously launched a series of electric vehicles (partly or completely), from the small crossover EQA to the EQS sedan, both the regular Mercedes version and the high-performance AMG version. . However, now, with the launch of the EQS680 SUV, the high-end Maybach line has been added to the German auto brand's electric vehicle portfolio.
Like other Maybach cars - GLS600, S580 and S680, the first electric car model under the Maybach brand is also developed based on the regular Mercedes version, not an independent product. In this case, it is the EQS SUV line with an additional Maybach grille, 2-color body paint, 22-inch rims with 7 disc-shaped blades, and the Maybach logo on the C-pillar to differentiate it from the EQS. often.
Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 launched, defining luxury high-capacity electric car - 1
The Maybach EQS 680 is developed based on the regular EQS 680 model.
Mercedes' regular EQS includes the EQS 450 with 355 horsepower, and the EQS 450 4Matic with the same power but more torque, or the EQS 580 with 536 horsepower. The Maybach 680 model increased capacity to 649 horsepower, although torque did not increase much, only from 850Nm to 950Nm, helping to shorten the 0-96km/h acceleration time from 4.6 seconds to 4.4 seconds.
Mercedes did not announce the capacity of the battery pack, but it seems that it will remain the 107.8kWh type used for other EQS models. The Maybach EQS 680 will be able to run 600km on a full battery charge, according to WLTP standards, which is only a little less than the 613km of the Mercedes EQS 580.
Mercedes did not mention much about electric engine technology when introducing the EQS 680 model, but focused on the car's comfort and luxury. Typically, even the Dynamic Select control knob has been adjusted accordingly, replacing the usual Comfort setting with Maybach mode, using data from the vibration sensor below the seat. rear to control the suspension system to bring the smoothest feeling to the occupants.
