MediaTek has just announced the Dimensity 7300 and Dimensity 7300X processors. This new product duo has enhanced computing capabilities thanks to artificial intelligence (AI), 5G connection with a maximum speed of 3.27Gbps. The Dimensity 7300X is specifically designed for vertical folding devices, supporting dual screens.
Dimensity 7300 series brings many improvements.
Both Dimensity 7300 chipsets have 8-core CPUs, including 4 Arm Cortex-A78 cores operating at 2.5GHz, combined with 4 Arm Cortex-A55 cores. According to MediaTek, the 4nm process reduces the power consumption of the A78 cores by up to 25% compared to the Dimenisty 7050. The Arm Mali-G615 GPU runs with the MediaTek HyperEngine optimization engine to help accelerate the gaming experience.
Compared to competing solutions, the Dimensity 7300 series delivers 20% faster fps and 20% improved power efficiency. To further enhance the gaming experience, these new chips use intelligent resource optimization technology, optimize 5G and Wi-Fi gaming connectivity, and support Bluetooth LE Audio technology with audio. The Dimensity 7300 chipsets have upgraded imaging capabilities with MediaTek Imagiq 950, supporting main cameras up to 200MP. The product has also been enhanced with new hardware tools to deliver noise reduction, face detection, and HDR video.
Additionally, live focus photography performance is now up to 1.3x faster and image reproduction is up to 1.5x faster compared to the Dimensity 7050. Users can record 4K HDR video with wide dynamic range 50% more than competing solutions, revealing more details in videos.
