Revealing the king of Xiaomi's popular smartphone segment

Xiaomi is preparing to launch a new product aimed at the popular segment through its sub-brand Redmi.

The device is part of a popular numbered lineup and is expected to be called Redmi 13 4G. To attract users, the device will continue to bring out the heritage of this popular product.

Redmi 13 4G will have an attractive configuration.

Based on image leaks, the Redmi 13 4G will have a flat display with three circular modules for the two image sensors and LED flash. Redmi's new device offers two color options: Midnight Black and Ocean Blue. Although, an earlier report also hinted at Pearl Pink and Gold colors.

Overall, the Redmi 13 4G seems quite familiar with the Redmi 13 5G. On the front, we can see a flat display with a punch-hole for selfies and video calling. The display is expected to be a 6.79-inch LCD panel offering a 90Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution.

Unlike Redmi 13 5G, Redmi 13 4G is expected to be equipped with MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra chip. However, an earlier report suggested that the chip will be Helio G88. Basically, both chips are similar in performance and are commonly found in popular smartphones.

Besides the Helio chip, the phone also comes with 6 GB or 8 GB RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB internal memory. Battery specifications are still unknown, but it will likely come with a 5,000 mAh battery like the Redmi 13 5G with the promise of fast charging speeds of about 18W.

As for the camera department, the product brings the biggest improvement to date, from the 50 MP main camera on the back of the Redmi 12 to an upgrade to a 108 MP main camera.

It's worth noting that higher camera resolution doesn't directly imply better camera quality, but for an entry-level phone, this is still quite impressive. At the expected price range, there are brands like Infinix that offer smartphones with 108 MP cameras.

Redmi 13 4G is expected to come in two storage configurations, including an 8/256 GB variant and a cheaper 6/128 GB variant. Their respective selling prices are about 249 USD (6.34 million VND) and 216 USD (5.5 million VND), respectively.
