The thin and light version of the Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim revealed that the launch date is not far away

There will be an "ultra-thin" version of the Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim this fall.

The technology world is abuzz with leaked information about the Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim, the latest version of Samsung's Z Fold line. According to sources from the IceUniverse account, this phone will be launched in China this coming October with the name Samsung W25.

Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim version is coming in October in China.

The highlight of the Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim is its significantly thinner and lighter design than the standard Z Fold6, while also possessing a larger 7.6-inch screen than previous generations. However, to achieve this impressive thinness, Samsung had to remove the digitizer layer, meaning the Z Fold6 Slim will not support the S Pen.

Besides, the device will be equipped with an Exynos chip, providing strong and stable performance. Although it has many similarities with the Z Fold6, the Z Fold6 Slim is not the low-cost version of the Z Fold6 FE or the standard version expected to launch next month.

This is not the first time information about the Z Fold6 Slim has appeared. Previously, in May, there were rumors that this phone will launch with the Galaxy S25 series in early 2025. However, with the latest information, it seems that Samsung has decided to accelerate the process. Z Fold6 Slim launch, at least in the Chinese market.

With a breakthrough design and valuable improvements, the Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim promises to be a formidable competitor in the folding phone segment, attracting the attention of many technology-loving users.

According to Android Police, some of the latest leaked information about the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is making fans disappointed. Despite some improvements in screen and weight, this folding phone seems to only bring normal hardware upgrades every year, while the selling price is expected to increase by 100 USD compared to previous generation.

According to sources from SmartPrix, Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be equipped with Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, 12GB RAM and 256GB, 512GB and 1TB memory options. However, the battery capacity and camera system are expected to remain unchanged compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 phone may not be much of a breakthrough.

This makes many people question the $100 price increase of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Are these small upgrades worth the money users have to spend?

However, there are still some notable bright spots on the Galaxy Z Fold 6, such as a wider secondary screen, improved resolution and lighter weight thanks to the titanium frame. However, whether these improvements are enough to convince users to upgrade to the new version is still a big question.

The fan community will probably have to wait until Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event to have a clearer view of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the real upgrades that this flagship brings.
