Sony Vietnam has just organized an exhibition of outstanding photos that won the Sony World Photography Awards (SWPA) 2024. This award is organized by the World Photography Association in cooperation with Sony. Not only honoring talented Vietnamese photographers who have won awards, the event also opens up a unique and aesthetic world through the lens of photographers around the world.

With an impressive number of more than 395,000 entries from more than 220 countries and territories, the Sony World Photography Awards 2024 is an exciting journey around the world, capturing colorful moments of life, of familiar yet strange lands through the lens of photographers. That is also how photographer Tran Tuan Viet successfully conquered the National Award Winner of SWPA 2024 with the work "The highest mountain in the South".
Taken at dawn in October 2023 at Ba Den Mountain, Tran Tuan Viet's work captures the moment when the statue of Buddha Tay Bo Da Son appears and disappears in the clouds and early morning sunlight, in harmony with the beautiful natural picture of Ba Mountain, creating a magical and peaceful scene. This excellent work is currently at the top of the list on the award website, among the 11 highest-winning photos and is also the only photo of a representative from Vietnam to win the award.

At the exhibition, photography enthusiasts can also admire the work "Sea Turtle Dream" by author Thien Nguyen. This is the work that won the 2023 National Award. In addition, the exhibition will feature a video-graphy corner showing artistic short films from Sony Alpha content creators, as well as images of SWPA 2024 winning and shortlisted works from around the world. Along with that, this area will screen some outstanding films from the Sony Future Filmmaker Awards - the major annual awards for short films.

The SWPA 2024 exhibition is taking place from July 12-14, 2024 at Sun Life Flagship - De La Sol (244 Pasteur, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City) and from 9am on August 3-4 at Vincom Center for Contemporary Art - Floor B1-R3, Royal City (72A Nguyen Trai, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi). The exhibition is open to the public to admire the outstanding works of art within the framework of this year's award.
Following the success of the previous season, SWPA 2025 officially launched on June 1, 2024, welcoming all photographers around the world to compete and prove their talent. SWPA 2025 is completely free to participate, open to all photographers regardless of the equipment used.
