The Galaxy Ring smart ring is Samsung's next step in health monitoring.
After being introduced at MWC 2024, Samsung officially revealed details about their first smart ring, the Galaxy Ring, at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event held in France.
It may be the smallest member of the Galaxy family, but the Galaxy Ring was arguably the most impressive product at the event that took place on the evening of July 10. It is the result of Samsung's years of research and development in health and fitness tracking .

The Galaxy Ring is IP68 certified and 10ATM water resistant, so you can wear it in all weather conditions and even while swimming. The smallest size 5 model measures 7mm x 2.6mm and weighs just 2.3 grams, while the size 13 version weighs 3 grams.

You can also try on different ring sizes at Samsung retail stores and choose the right ring for your finger.
The Galaxy Ring connects via Bluetooth LE 5.4 and will be available exclusively for Samsung Galaxy phones running Android 11 or later. Users will also need a Samsung account and the Samsung Health app. The good news is that there won't be any additional subscriptions to purchase.

The Galaxy Ring also tracks a range of standard health metrics including heart rate via an optical PPG sensor and skin temperature. The company is also betting big on sleep tracking with the smart ring, thanks to its slim design that makes it comfortable to wear 24/7.
