A new batch of OnePlus 13 leaks suggests they have significant advantages over the Galaxy S24 and iPhone 15.
The latest news comes from Digital Chat Station (DCS) on Weibo, suggesting that the OnePlus 13 will feature IP69 water and dust resistance. This is a step up from the IP68 rating found on most flagship smartphones and a big step up from the IP65 rating on the OnePlus 12, which doesn't offer a high rating for being able to withstand being submerged in water. This allows the OnePlus phone to beat the likes of the Galaxy S24 and iPhone 15 in this regard.

The IP69 rating means the OnePlus 13 will be one of the most durable smartphones on the market and is certified to withstand high-pressure water jets and high temperatures.
DCS also revealed various specifications of the OnePlus 13, including a flat screen and some new specifications. genesis, the product will use the extremely powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, 2K curved screen, new super large silicon battery supporting 100W fast charging and wireless charging.
The back of the phone comes with 3 cameras 50 MP + 50 MP + 50 MP with 3x Hasselblad periscope lens, single-point ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, super large X-axis motor, IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance.
The notable thing here is the mention of wireless charging. Previous rumors from DCS said that like the OnePlus 11, the OnePlus 13 will not come with wireless charging. That was obviously unusual because the OnePlus 12 itself supports wireless charging, so the new news suggests that DCS has updated the feature.
Many other specs also make the OnePlus 13 a perfect upgrade over the OnePlus 12.

For all its efforts, OnePlus is making the OnePlus 13 stand out from the current crop of Samsung and Apple's flagship Galaxy S24 and iPhone 15 models. Of course, the company may have to add more compelling features if it wants to be ready to take on its upcoming rivals, the Galaxy S25 (launched in early 2025) and the iPhone 16 (launched in September 2024).
