OnePlus is developing a smartphone with a larger battery than its existing models.
OnePlus recently launched the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and an impressive 6,100mAh battery. Now, popular leaker Digital Chat Station (DCS) has revealed that OnePlus is working on a smartphone with a larger battery of up to 6,500mAh, according to Gizmochina.
Additionally, the source also revealed the company's long-rumored OnePlus 13 and OnePlus Ace 4 phones.
According to DCS, the Ouga group, which mainly includes OPPO and OnePlus, will launch a phone with a 6,500mAh battery. The company is currently testing prototypes with this new battery. DCS added that OnePlus will be the first to use this battery in its phone.
DCS’s Weibo post also mentions two phones with curved displays with 1.5K and 2K resolutions. These appear to be the long-rumored OnePlus Ace 4 and OnePlus 13. Both phones are expected to come with batteries larger than 6,000mAh, with capacities ranging from 6,100mAh to 6,200mAh.
OnePlus 13 phone will launch later this year
The OnePlus 13 is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, while the Ace 4 will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Rumors suggest that the Ace 4 will be rebranded as the OnePlus 13R in the global market.
As for the OnePlus phone with a 6,500mAh battery, it could be the OnePlus Ace 4 Pro, which is expected to launch in mid-2025 in China.
