One interesting thing you can see is that the back of the Pixel 9 Pro XL is larger than the standard version and has a matte finish that helps keep fingerprints away. The image also shows that the standard Pixel 9 will have a glossy back instead of the matte finish of the premium version.
While the back of the Pixel 9 Pro XL has a matte finish, the edges of the device have a glossy material. Meanwhile, the standard Pixel 9 has the opposite design with a glossy back and matte edges.

There are also rumors of a fourth Pixel 9 phone, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, which will be a second-generation Pixel Fold 2 with a new name.
By pushing back the launch date of the next-generation Pixel Fold from June last year to August or September this year, Google may be planning to equip its foldable phone with the Tensor G4 processor compared to the Tensor G2 used on its predecessor.

According to Android Authority, based on the latest leaked information from leaker Kamila Wojciechowska, Google's Pixel 9 product line will be equipped with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, replacing the current optical sensor under the screen on the Pixel 8. This is considered a significant upgrade, promised to bring a faster, more accurate and more convenient unlocking experience, especially in wet or dirty finger conditions.

Ultrasonic sensors, which have been successfully applied by Samsung on the Galaxy S24 series, are considered to have many advantages over optical sensors. This technology not only provides faster response speed but is also less affected by environmental factors, and does not emit strong light in the dark, making it easy for users to use at night.
In addition to the upgraded fingerprint sensor, the Pixel 9 is also rumored to have a Samsung M14 OLED screen with significantly improved brightness and longevity. In addition, recently leaked images also show a new design of the rear camera cluster with a unique pill shape.
Google has officially confirmed that the Pixel 9 launch event will take place next month. This is an event that technology fans are looking forward to, not only because of the valuable upgrades on the Pixel 9 but also because of the appearance of the Pixel Watch 3.
However, users of the next-generation Pixel Fold may be disappointed as the device is expected to still use a capacitive fingerprint sensor in the power button.
Although the above information is just at the rumor level, it has created great excitement in the Pixel user community. Fans just need to wait for Google's official launch event to discover the interesting surprises that the Pixel 9 product line brings.
