This lens is the smallest and lightest in the full-frame wide-angle zoom 16-35mm segment, F2.8 focal length.
Sony has just launched the G Master FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM II full-frame wide-angle zoom lens (codename SEL1635GM2), using the E mount with a fixed F2.8 aperture across the entire focal range from 16mm to 35mm. Previously, Sony's second-generation F2.8 zoom lens collection included a standard zoom lens (24 - 70mm) and a telephoto zoom lens (70 - 200mm). These are all the world's lightest lenses in each segment.
The world's smallest and lightest G Master FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM II has an overall length of 111.5mm and weighs approximately 547g, 20% lighter than the previous generation.

In addition to its wide-angle bokeh capabilities, the new G Master lens also offers extremely close focusing distances across the entire focal range, with a minimum focusing distance of 0.22m and a maximum magnification of 0.32x. Sony's signature Nano AR Coating II is said to help capture clear images even when there are strong light sources in the frame.
The FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM II is equipped with the latest XD (extreme dynamic) linear motor. It helps the lens achieve quieter autofocus when shooting stills and movies. When combined with the Alpha 1 body, Sony announced a continuous shooting speed of up to 30 frames per second while ensuring focus speed.
In addition, the FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM II also reduces focus breathing (focus position changes when focal length changes) when shooting video compared to the previous generation, now users can focus on image quality without sacrificing shooting angle. In addition, the new lens also reduces the movement of the center of gravity when zooming and creates stability when shooting, thereby optimizing the combination with a gimbal.

In addition to autofocus (AF), the FE 70-200MM F4 Macro G OSS II is the world's first zoom lens to offer semi-macro shooting with a maximum zoom of 0.5x. Additionally, with the optional Teleconverter (sold separately), users can shoot up to 400mm (equivalent to 600mm when used with an APS-C camera) and capture life-size 1:1 macro shots throughout the entire zoom range.
With a total length of 149mm and a weight of about 794g (excluding tripod mount), Sony's new lens line is introduced by the company as suitable for performing a variety of sports, landscape, wild bird and especially macro photography,...
Sony lens supports focal length conversion (sold separately). With super-telephoto shooting up to 400mm 4, users can capture distant subjects in larger sizes, along with background bokeh effects. With the SEL20TC attached, users can capture close-up shots at up to 1:1 ratio.
Sony's XD (Extreme Dynamic) Linear Motor increases autofocus speed by up to 20%. When combined with the α1 body, users can shoot continuously at up to 30 frames per second.
In addition, Sony has added a new MODE3 setting for SteadyShot that optimizes the anti-shake adjustment algorithm to help stabilize the frame when shooting moving subjects. By combining with a compatible camera body, the camera can stabilize the frame and record movies at high frame rates.
In addition to a focus range limiter and a full-time DMF switch that allows instant switching from AF to MF (manual focus), the package also includes a detachable tripod mount, which provides stability when shooting super-telephoto as well as macro.
Finally, the front element of the FE 70-200MM F4 Macro G OSS II has a fluorine coating that repels fingerprints, dust, oil, and other contaminants from the lens surface. The lens has a dust- and moisture-resistant construction.
