The 10-year-old version of the Apple Watch may not have a new design.
Last year, it was reported that Apple was developing a completely new design for the Apple Watch, dubbed the "Apple Watch X." Since the Apple Watch line will turn 10 years old in 2024, experts believe that the Series 10 will introduce a completely new design.
However, the latest reports about the future of the Apple Watch have left the media somewhat disappointed as a completely new design for the successor Apple Watch is unlikely, according to 9to5Mac.

According to a Bloomberg report last year, the Watch X will be the “biggest design revolution ever” for the Apple Watch. Rumors suggest the new design will make the product thinner and will also introduce a new magnetic strap system to replace the current watch bands.
The Apple Watch redesign has also been confirmed by many other sources, although some analysis and even Bloomberg have mentioned the possibility that the new design will be pushed back to 2025 due to its complexity.
Last week, a design drawing of the purported Apple Watch Series 10 was published by 91mobiles, revealing that the new design may not be as groundbreaking as initially rumored. The design leaked through the drawing looks quite similar to the current Apple Watch models, except for the larger size.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said the Series 10 will increase in size from 41mm and 44mm to 45mm and 49mm. This has been confirmed by previously leaked designs… However, there is still no information about a new design other than the size of the product. Bloomberg writer Mark Gurman also confirmed this, implying that there will be no other changes.
This year's third-generation Apple Watch Ultra will have a design that is nearly identical to the original version, while the other watch models will remain similar to the Series 4 launched in 2018.
While it's no surprise that the Apple Watch Ultra 3 will retain the same design, it looks like the Series 10 models will have the same design as the current models.

It’s hard to say what could have happened at this point. Perhaps the rumors of a groundbreaking new design for the Apple Watch were wrong from the start, or Apple may have abandoned it because of manufacturing issues. Or the company's designers may have simply decided that the Apple Watch was good enough the way it was, and there was no reason to radically change it.
This isn't the first time rumors of a redesigned Apple Watch have been wrong. In 2021, there were many leaks about the Apple Watch Series 7 featuring a flat-edge design. However, the Series 7 launched looking exactly like previous Apple Watch models, just larger and with thinner bezels.
