According to leaker Smart Pikachu on Weibo, the OnePlus 13 could launch with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip - a chip expected to launch in October 2024 and completely in line with the similar launch schedule of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This chip is said to be manufactured based on TSMC's 3nm process and could feature the Adreno 830 GPU and new performance cores, specifically the Oryon CPU core.
An expert named Revengus claims that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 can reach a maximum clock speed of 4 GHz, which is a huge leap compared to the 3.3 GHz maximum clock speed of the Snapdragon 8 series.

Following the AI trend, the chip will feature a new neural engine (NPU) that marks an “evolution” in the company’s NPU journey. So the OnePlus 13 can feature on-device AI capabilities like the Galaxy S24 series and Pixel 8 series.
