The goal of Apple Intelligence is to bring a new experience to users and keep up with the AI trend in the technology market.
Apple Intelligence will officially be brought to users on iOS 18 (for iPhone), iPadOS 18 (for iPad) and macOS Sequoia (for Mac computers).
At present, only iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, iPad Air 5, iPad Pro 5, Mac computers using M1 chip or higher meet the configuration requirements to experience Apple Intelligence.

iOS and iPadOS 18 are expected to be released by Apple on September 9, when Apple will hold a special event to introduce the latest iPhone 16 series.

Recently, Apple has just released iOS 18.1 beta 3 and iPadOS 18.1 beta 3 updates for iPhone and iPad users. In this update,
Apple has added an artificial intelligence feature that allows users to remove unwanted objects in images.
Accordingly, a feature called Clean Up was added by Apple to the iOS and iPadOS platforms, allowing users to select areas to delete in photos,
then artificial intelligence will automatically identify and delete these objects, while reproducing the details behind the deleted objects so as not to affect image quality.
Apple says the AI feature can even recognize shadows or reflections of objects to ensure these details are removed from the photo, making the processed photo look natural as if it had never been edited.
However, perhaps because this feature is still in the testing stage and not yet complete, many users after upgrading to iOS 18.1 beta 3 and experiencing the Clean Up feature realized that it does not recognize and delete objects as well as Apple advertised.
Many users also realized that the Clean Up feature has been around for a long time on the Android platform, and is not a truly new feature.
Earlier this year, when Samsung launched the new Galaxy S24 series, the company also equipped the product with a feature that helps users remove unnecessary objects in photos using AI. The AI feature on the Galaxy S24 also allows users to expand the scene of a photo through the imagination of artificial intelligence.
Since 2021, Google has also equipped its Pixel smartphone series with the Magic Eraser feature, which allows the use of AI to identify and remove unwanted objects in photos, helping users edit images quickly and easily.
Magic Eraser has long been exclusive to the Pixel smartphone series and is considered a signature feature of this product line. However, earlier this year, Google integrated the Magic Eraser feature into the Google Photos image storage service and allowed Android smartphone users to use it completely free of charge.
