Chinese smartphone company Tecno has just introduced a tri-fold screen smartphone called Phantom Ultimate 2.
The product stands out with its super thin design, despite having 2 screen folds.
Foldable smartphones are currently considered the most exciting segment in the mobile market, with companies constantly launching new models.
The main reason is that the traditional smartphone market is saturated with similar designs and styles.

However, this product line is also gradually falling into a rut with similar butterfly or clamshell folding designs.
Therefore, smartphone manufacturers are considering launching smartphones with three-fold screens to create a difference.
Recently, Tecno - a smartphone company based in Shenzhen, China - has just introduced Phantom Ultimate 2, its tri-fold screen smartphone.

According to Tecno, the Phantom Ultimate 2 has a 6.78-inch external screen, allowing users to use it as a regular bar-shaped smartphone.
When the internal screen is expanded, the Phantom Ultimate 2 will have a 10-inch wide size, 3K resolution, equivalent to a large tablet.
Both screens on the product use high-end OLED technology.

However, the highlight of Phantom Ultimate 2 is not only the screen size or folding design, but the product also stands out with its impressive thinness, only 11mm when folded.
Tecno said that to help the product achieve such impressive thinness, the company developed the thinnest battery on a smartphone, with a thickness of only 0.25mm.
However, Tecno has not revealed the battery capacity it will equip on its tri-fold screen smartphone.
Tecno claims to have developed its own dual hinge on the Phantom Ultimate 2, allowing the smartphone to withstand a minimum of 300,000 folds under testing conditions.

Images and videos shared by Tecno show that the Phantom Ultimate 2 will come with a stylus, similar to Samsung's S Pen.
The back of the product is a cluster of 3 cameras arranged vertically.
Phantom Ultimate 2 has a rigid hinge design, allowing the product to stand in many different positions. Users can use Phantom Ultimate 2 in a laptop position.
Tecno said that the Phantom Ultimate 2 is just a concept product, so parameters such as the type of chip used, RAM capacity, hard drive storage, battery capacity or camera parameters... have not been disclosed by the company. Tecno does not rule out the possibility of commercializing this tri-fold screen smartphone in the near future.
