iPhone 15 Pro Max is the best-selling smartphone in the world, accounting for 4.4% market share in the first quarter.
According to a report from market research firm Counterpoint Research
, Apple and Samsung are the two manufacturers dominating the global smartphone market in the first quarter of 2024.

Each company took five spots on the list, with seven of them in the high-end segment (selling for more than $600).
This was also the first quarter in which all 10 of the top-selling smartphones had 5G connectivity.
The report also said that the iPhone 15 Pro Max was the world's best-selling smartphone, accounting for 4.4% of the market share in the first quarter.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 14 Pro Max version only achieved 3.4% market share over the same period.
Experts say users are increasingly favoring the iPhone Pro and Pro Max models.
Apple's sales increased by 24% compared to 2020.

The iPhone Pro line has also become Apple's main growth driver, contributing to 60% of revenue.
In recent years, Apple has continuously upgraded the iPhone Pro models with many different features and improvements compared to the standard models
It seems that this strategy of the company is showing certain effectiveness as sales of the iPhone Pro line continue to increase.
The Pro series devices received many improvements in design, camera, performance and battery life. Sales of iPhone 15 Pro Max still grew strongly despite Apple's price increase.

Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series also earned two spots on the list. It was one of the first smartphones on the market to integrate AI,
allowing users to experience unique features and create new interactions with their smartphones.
Experts at Counterpoint Research also added that users are getting used to using smartphones for longer periods of time, due to the lack of attractive features in new devices.
"Users tend to choose to buy high-end smartphones so they can use the device for a longer period of time. Manufacturers are also focusing more on promoting this segment," said a report from Counterpoint Research .
