According to sources in Korea, Apple has ordered 80 million screens from Samsung and 43 million screens from LG. The number of iPhone 16s sold by Apple this year is estimated at around 90 million, so the company has ordered about 30% more.
The Korean supply chain has “confirmed” that both Samsung and LG are currently producing displays in line with the above orders. Both companies will benefit from Apple’s orders as performance improves in the second half of this year.
The Korean supply chain claims that the iPhone 16 generation will be the first iPhone to ship with Apple Intelligence. This feature will convince many people to upgrade to the new iPhone quartet , creating "huge demand".

LG will benefit the most, with display production increasing by about 10 million compared to last year. Furthermore, this year is also the first time LG has followed its production schedule, contributing to improved efficiency.
In 2022 and 2023, LG's delay in mass producing OLED displays for the iPhone left Samsung as the sole supplier at launch.
Samsung's iPhone display production has not increased significantly compared to previous years, but it still accounts for the majority of displays for the more expensive iPhone Pro and iPhone Pro Max. Therefore, its revenue is expected to continue to increase. Of the total new iPhone displays supplied by Samsung, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max account for about 60%.

Meanwhile, screen supplier BOE (China) has not received approval to supply screens for the iPhone 16 series. Therefore, the company will not participate in screen production for this generation of iPhone.
In terms of overall design, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 14 Pro Max both have flat edges and curved corners, giving a luxurious and sophisticated feel. At the same time, both are equipped with Dynamic Island screens, providing a convenient experience for users.
The iPhone 14 Pro Max is considered a phone with excellent photography capabilities, with a camera system consisting of 3 rear lenses 48MP | 12MP | 12MP at the time of launch. In which, the telephoto camera has the ability to zoom up to 3x optically, bringing beautiful zoom photos with high detail. Then the iPhone 15 was born, possessing the most impressive upgrades on the iPhone 14 Pro Max with an equally impressive 48MP | 12MP camera cluster.
Both the iPhone 15 and iPhone 14 Pro Max are powered by the A16 Bionic processor, a very powerful chipset. Its performance is increased by about 15% and it is 30% more energy efficient than the previous generation. With 6GB of RAM, both devices are capable of multitasking and handling tasks smoothly.
The difference between the iPhone 15 and iPhone 14 Pro Max is in the overall design. Overall, these two devices have different sizes, it is easy to see the difference.
The iPhone 15 retains the same diagonal dual-lens design as its predecessor, while the iPhone 14 Pro Max has three lenses. This will certainly create a difference in photography performance between the two devices.
Both devices feature Super Retina XDR OLED displays and Dynamic Island, but the iPhone 14 Pro Max's display is much larger, measuring 6.7 inches compared to 6.1 inches on the iPhone 15.
In addition, the Pro display also has a higher resolution of 2796 x 1290 pixels and supports 120Hz ProMotion, providing a smooth and sharp experience. In contrast, Apple has continued to keep the 60Hz refresh rate on the iPhone 15, a point that has disappointed many users after many years.
The battery capacity on the iPhone 15 has been improved over the previous version with a 3,349 mAh battery. This means that the iPhone 14 Pro Max still has a slightly higher battery capacity at 4,323 mAh.
In addition, a notable point is that the charging port on the iPhone 14 Pro Max has been replaced with a USB-C port on the iPhone 15. Allowing users to use the same type of cable for devices such as their iPhone, iPad and MacBook more conveniently.
