The mid-range smartphone pair - Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Pro have officially launched with large batteries, strong performance and super thin bodies.
Recently, Vivo V40 was officially announced along with Vivo V40 Pro. This duo brings significant upgrades in battery capacity while still maintaining the same super-slim body.
Vivo V40 inherits the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip from Vivo V30 while Vivo V40 Pro is integrated with a "stronger" chip - Dimensity 9200+.

Both devices have the same overall dimensions (164.2 x 74.9 x 7.58 mm) and have the same display - a 6.78-inch AMOLED with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a resolution of 2,800 x 1,260 pixels. The display reaches a maximum brightness of 4,500 nits; the selfie camera is housed in a "hole-punch" detail, which houses a single 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor.
The back of the Vivo V40 Pro has a 50MP main camera with Sony IMX921 sensor, a 50MP telephoto camera with Sony IMX816 sensor, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera.
Both Vivo smartphones share the same extremely smooth screen.
Vivo V40 has only 2 rear cameras, including: 50MP main camera and 50MP super wide-angle camera. The main camera has optical image stabilization - OIS and AI Aura Light Portrait activated by a ring-shaped LED flash.
The two phones are powered by the Funtouch OS 14 user interface, based on Android 14. The company promises that the products will provide a "smooth experience for 50 months" - corresponding to the software support period. In addition, the battery will support up to 1,600 charge cycles and retain at least 80% of its battery capacity, extending the life of the phone.
Even more impressive is that the Vivo smartphone pair both have 5,500 mAh batteries - the largest in the Vivo V series. They also support extremely fast 80W FlashCharge charging.

The Vivo V40 comes in three storage options: 8GB RAM/ 128GB ROM, 12GB RAM/ 256GB ROM, and 12GB RAM/ 512GB ROM. The Vivo V40 Pro also comes in three different versions: 8GB RAM/ 256GB ROM, 12GB RAM/ 256GB ROM, or 12GB RAM/ 512GB ROM.
Both Vivo phones come in Meteor Blue, Moonlight White, and Starlight Silver, while the Vivo V40 comes in two additional colors – Nebula Purple and Light Peach.
Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Pro are now available in India. The Vivo V40 starts at Rs 39,999 while the Vivo V40 Pro starts at Rs 54,999.
