LG launches world's first wireless OLED TV

Of course, this TV still needs to be connected directly to the power source, but peripherals will connect wirelessly to the TV thanks to a control box.

LG has just launched the LG OLED evo M4 TV. This is the world's first wireless OLED TV line, with 4K resolution images and a 144Hz refresh rate.

With the introduction of the Zero Connect Box wireless control box, the LG OLED evo M4 is considered revolutionary in that it can operate without any cables directly attached to the screen. The only plug running to the TV is the power source, while the ports connecting to other peripheral devices will be neatly located on the Zero Connect Box. The wireless control box can be placed up to 9m away from the TV.

The manufacturer says it has developed an algorithm that instantly determines the optimal transmission path. This algorithm helps minimize errors or interruptions in transmission by detecting changes in the surrounding environment, such as the movement of people or pets, and redirecting accordingly. On the other hand, the LG OLED evo M4 can be controlled by voice through the Zero Connect Box itself.

The LG OLED evo M4 features a new generation Alpha 11 processor, which is advertised as delivering 4x AI performance, up to 70% improved graphics performance, and 30% faster processing speed than its predecessor. Thanks to that, the device is integrated with many AI features to help improve image and sound quality.

Specifically, “AI Super Upscaling” optimizes the effects for the content shown based on the genre and context, as well as reduces noise to increase sharpness. “Object Enhancing” analyzes images at the pixel level, thereby sharpening objects and blurring the background. In addition, users can feel the message that filmmakers or content creators want to convey thanks to the “Fine Tuning” feature.

LG OLED evo M4 is equipped with Micro Lens Array screen technology, with the ability to increase brightness up to 70% thanks to the micro lens layer controlled by the Meta Boosting algorithm. Combined with Brightness Booster Max and Peak Highlighter technology, LG OLED evo M4 will improve image quality.
