Multiple renders of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold and Pixel Watch 3 have surfaced, revealing the design of the products.
We've already seen the design of the upcoming Pixel devices thanks to the leaked promotional video of the Pixel Watch 3 and the renders of the Pixel 9 series. Some renders of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold and Pixel Watch 3 designs have leaked online again, posted on a post by leaker @Arsène Lupin on the social network X (Twitter).
The Pixel Watch 3 renders show that the device looks quite similar to its predecessor. However, it is said that the Pixel Watch 3 will have a larger display with slightly thinner bezels and an upgraded refresh rate. The strap design will remain the same as its predecessor. You can also see the rumored color options from the leaked images.
According to a previous report, the Pixel Watch 3 will continue to use the same Qualcomm 5100 chip and Cortex M33 coprocessor as its predecessor. The device will be paired with the same 2GB of RAM and 32GB of eMMC storage. So the watch will have the same computing power as its predecessor.
However, the Pixel Watch 3 is expected to ship with Wear OS 5 out of the box, which could bring some unique improvements to the new product. The refresh rate is also upgraded from 30Hz to 60Hz.
@Arsène Lupin's post also shared a high-resolution render of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. According to sources, Google plans to launch two storage versions of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold phone: 256GB and 512GB. These two versions are expected to cost $1,799 and $1,919, respectively.
According to previous information, the phone will come with an 8.0-inch internal display with specifications of 147 × 141 mm and a resolution of 2152 x 2076 pixels. The panel will have a pixel density of 374ppi, very similar to the Pixel Fold model.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold's outer display measures 6.24 inches, which is larger than its predecessor's 5.8-inch outer display. The outer display on the upcoming device will reportedly reach 1,800 nits of brightness in high brightness mode, while the predecessor reached 1,200 nits.
The latest information shows that the tri-fold screen of the phone model that Huawei is working on has passed the 28μm test, which is a test that evaluates the durability and visibility of the crease that forms on the screen after multiple folds. The “28μm” (28 micrometers) measurement may refer to the depth of the crease that the screen forms after a certain number of folds.
For foldable displays, maintaining the integrity of the display through multiple folds without creating visible wrinkles is a real challenge.
According to Gizmochina, this tri-fold phone is said to have the potential to replace tablets and book-like foldable phones. The information also says that with the help of HarmonyOS NEXT operating system and the new Kirin processor, Huawei's foldable phone will be able to run "desktop applications" and strengthen the company's product ecosystem.
However, according to a previous leak, this phone will be priced high and sold in limited quantities. According to the leak, the launch of this phone is more like a technology showcase for Huawei than a product launched to capture market share.
The dual-hinge phone is said to be powered by the Kirin 9 series chipset and will also offer Huawei’s latest AI innovations. Mass production of the device is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of this year.
