At Computex 2024, Acer announced the expansion of its wireless router portfolio with two new options. The Acer Wave 7 leverages the latest Wi-Fi 7 technology to provide wide coverage for large homes with many connected devices, while the Predator Connect W6x uses Wi-Fi 6 to optimize speed and performance for online gaming experiences.
Specifically, the Acer Wave 7 is designed to take advantage of the power of the Wi-Fi 7 standard with speeds up to 6,400Mbps (6.25Gbps) and low latency. Users can choose from two configurations: Combining 2.4GHz and 5GHz, or 2.4GHz and 6GHz to optimize performance based on usage needs.

Wave 7 supports 320MHz frequency channels and Multi-Link Operations (MLO) technology, allowing devices to transmit and receive data simultaneously on different frequencies, significantly increasing throughput and minimizing latency and interference. The intelligent Mesh system allows for further expansion by adding additional access points, creating seamless Wi-Fi coverage.
Wave 7 also comes with three Gigabit Ethernet ports with flexible WAN/LAN switching for network configuration, along with Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) security. Wave 7 offers single, dual, or triple-pack options, providing flexibility and coverage when building a network.
Predator Connect W6x is designed specifically for gamers, supporting Wi-Fi 6 standard, transmission speed up to 6,000Mbps. Equipped with a powerful quad-core processor, 1GB DDR4 RAM and 256MB ROM, this router prioritizes minimizing packet loss, ensuring a lag-free gaming experience. In addition, the LED light displays the network connection status on the device to help users grasp the situation.

Starting in July, gamers can control the network remotely via the Predator Connect app on their phone or tablet. The Predator Connect W6x comes with multiple ports, including 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports for LAN and 1 2.5Gigabit Ethernet port for WAN.
