Accessories turn iPhone into classic handheld game console

This accessory kit both protects and integrates physical buttons to turn the iPhone into a classic handheld game console.

Recently, accessory brand Bitmo Lab has officially launched GameBaby, a unique mobile accessory designed for classic video games on the iPhone .

This product functions as both a protective case and a game controller with physical buttons to support playing emulated games on the iPhone, according to Gizmochina.

Unlike other mobile controllers that need to be attached separately, GameBaby also functions as a phone case,

allowing users to conveniently switch between regular phone use and gaming mode without having to carry additional accessories.

The case is split into two parts. When gaming, the bottom half of the case sits on the front of the iPhone, partially covering the screen and adding physical navigation

buttons and keys that emulate handheld game consoles like the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, and NES.

When not gaming, the bottom half of the case can be moved to the back of the phone, turning it into a regular phone case.

The GameBaby's standout feature is that it works without any power source or connection to a phone.

Instead, it uses capacitive touch controls to operate. Bitmo Labs has designed the accessory to be compatible with the Delta emulator,

the iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro Max, ensuring it can handle a wide range of console emulator interfaces.

The GameBaby starts at $20 for the first 1,000 orders, then goes up to $25. It is expected to be released in October. After the pre-order period, the GameBaby will officially cost $39.99.
