Tecno has introduced two new foldable phones – Phantom V Fold 2 and Phantom V Flip 2.
Both phones come with the manufacturer’s AI Suite and are the first devices to feature these features out of the box.

The biggest change is the body, which is just under 6.1mm thick when unfolded and under
12mm thin when folded. It's also quite light - weighing just 249 grams, down from nearly 300 grams despite the increased battery size.
The Phantom V Fold 2 features the AI assistant Ella, powered by Google Gemini.

The camera cluster on the Phantom V Fold 2 has been completely redesigned.
The three rear cameras all have a resolution of 50MP - a wide-angle main camera, an ultra-wide-angle camera, and a portrait lens.

The new Tecno Flip phone has a large display on the back with a resolution of 1,056 x 1,056 pixels instead of a small circle - a first on the Phantom V Flip.
The display on the back is 3.64 inches square and surrounds the camera, similar to the Motorola Razr and Xiaomi Mix Flip. The inner display is a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED with Full HD+ resolution.

Tecno says the external display will support over 2,000 apps. The internal display is a desktop app center where users can launch multiple apps.
Overall, the phone weighs under 200 grams, is only 7.6 mm thick when opened and 16 mm when folded.
The dual rear cameras both feature 50MP sensors. The ultra-wide camera supports a 150-degree field of view, which is much wider than the standard ultra-wide camera on smartphones. Tecno also placed a selfie camera on the inner display with a 32MP sensor and autofocus.

The Phantom V Flip 2 has all the same AI features as its "brother" version: AI Translation, AI Writing, Ella voice assistant and more.
The phone comes with a 4,720 mAh battery, which is one of the largest batteries among foldable phones. Tecno claims that the 70W charging technology will allow the phone to charge 50% in 15 minutes and fully charge in 43 minutes.

The Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 is priced at $699 for the 8GB RAM/256GB ROM version. The two phones will go on sale on September 23 in Africa, followed by a launch in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America in late September and October.
