According to a reliable leak source on social network Weibo, a user shared information that the iPhone 17 product line will be equipped with basic RAM up to 12GB by
Apple, along with powerful improvements of Apple Intelligence (a new artificial intelligence (AI) system integrated into iPhone, iPad and Mac).
Accordingly, if the iPhone 17 is equipped with 12GB of basic RAM, this product will have 50% more RAM than the rumored 8GB RAM on the iPhone 16,
which will put the iPhone 17 on par with many modern high-end Android phones .
In addition, the revelations also show that the iPhone 16 will also be improved by Apple Intelligence
manufacturer, but it will be upgraded more powerfully on the iPhone 17 product line.

A point of contention for Apple fans has always been memory for iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks; the fact that Apple has been slow to implement increased RAM in its products.
The first iPhones to feature 6GB of RAM were the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max, which launched in 2020. For comparison, the Google Pixel 5, which launched the same year, came with 8GB of RAM.

But Apple has finally upgraded the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max to 8GB of RAM - these are the only iPhone generations currently capable of using the upcoming Apple Intelligence features.
In particular, if the iPhone 17 is equipped with 12GB of RAM, it will help optimize the use of Apple Intelligence features. However, some information suggests that only the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max can be equipped with 12GB of RAM.
The newly launched Google Pixel 9 phone line is equipped with 12GB of RAM, while the Pixel 9 Pro and Pro XL have a whopping 16GB of RAM. Therefore, if the rumors on the iPhone 17 come true, this Apple product cannot be compared to the Pixel in terms of RAM.
For those who want to take full advantage of Apple Intelligence features with higher security, the iPhone 17 series, which will be released in 2025, is worth the wait, especially if you currently own an iPhone 15 Pro or 15 Pro Max.
Obviously, using a phone equipped with a large amount of RAM will bring a smoother overall experience, especially in case you use many heavy applications or play high-graphic games, and it also helps to switch between applications faster.
