User demand for iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max is significantly lower than that of the previous generation.
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, user demand for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max duo is significantly lower than expected. This statistic was compiled by Kuo from the supply chain and order information on Apple's online store.
Sales of all four iPhone 16 models are estimated to reach around 37 million devices in the first weekend of sales, a figure that is down nearly 13% compared to the first week sales of the iPhone 15 generation.
The main reason for this decline is that user demand for the Pro product line has dropped sharply. It is estimated that first-week sales of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will decrease by 27% and 16% compared to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, respectively.
According to Kuo, in the first week of sales, user demand for the two versions of iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus increased significantly compared to the previous version. However, this growth is not enough to compensate for the shortage of Pro models.
"Apple Intelligence features are not available on iPhone 16 Pro models when they go on sale. This has caused the product's appeal to decline sharply. In addition, the iPhone is also facing fierce competition from Chinese smartphones," Kuo added.
On September 13, Apple began taking pre-orders for the iPhone 16 in a number of countries. The first iPhone 16s will be delivered to users globally on September 20.
In the Vietnamese market, users can start pre-ordering the iPhone 16 generation from September 20 and receive the goods from September 27.
According to information on Apple's online store in Vietnam, the two versions of iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus have listed prices of 23 million VND and 26 million VND respectively for the 128GB internal memory version.
The iPhone 16 Pro starts at VND29 million for the 128GB version. Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Pro Max starts at VND35 million for the 256GB version.
