Redmi 14R 5G launched with 5160 mAh battery, 120Hz screen

 Xiaomi has just launched the Redmi 14R 5G, a smartphone equipped with a high refresh rate screen, long battery life at a mid-range price.




Xiaomi recently launched the Redmi 14R 5G, a new model in the company's Redmi series.


This phone is aimed at users who only need a device with basic features, focusing on reliability and practicality.

The Redmi 14R 5G has a 6.88-inch display with a resolution of 1640 x 720p and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The device can reach up to 600 nits in high brightness mode.


The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, an upgrade over the Dimensity 6100+ used in the Redmi 13R.


With a 5160mAh battery, the Redmi 14R 5G can last a full day with basic usage.


It comes with a 10W charger in the box, although the phone supports 18W fast charging.


The Redmi 14R 5G has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.


These camera configurations are not high-end, but they work well enough for casual photography and video calling.

Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual SIM, microSD card support, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a single speaker.


The device runs HyperOS based on Android 14. The weight of the device ranges from 205.39g to 212.35g, depending on the case material. The phone measures 171.88 x 77.8 x 8.22mm.


The Redmi 14R 5G is priced at 1,099 yuan (about 3.8 million VND).


The phone comes in various finishes such as leather (green), glass (black and purple), and plastic (blue).


Redmi is reportedly working on the Redmi Note 14 series for its home market of China.


With Redmi announcing the Note 13 series last September and the new Note 14 models receiving 3C certification, it seems likely that the Note 14 series will launch in the second half of this month.

Redmi CEO Wang Teng Thomas has been teasing the launch of the next generation of Note series phones. His recent Weibo posts have revealed information about the improvements expected to come to the Note 14 series.



In a Weibo post, Thomas confirmed that the new Redmi Note models will continue to have an IP68 rating. Last year's Redmi Note 13 Pro+ also came with an IP68-rated chassis, while the Note 13 Pro and Note 13 come with an IP54 rating.
