While Apple revealed a number of new features that will be coming to the iPhone 16, the company left out some other interesting details during its keynote.
Here are some of the most exciting features Apple brought to the iPhone 16 that weren't mentioned during their keynote.
The secrets of iPhone 16 are now revealed - 1
Lighter iPhone 16 models:
Apple made the iPhone 15 series lighter than its predecessors, especially the Pro models, thanks to a switch from stainless steel to titanium frames.
In 2024, the company managed to make the regular iPhone models slightly lighter than their predecessors, while the Pro versions are slightly heavier.
However, Apple made them larger with 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch screens, so the difference is barely noticeable.
Wi-Fi 7: At the end of the iPhone 16 Pro launch, Apple revealed that the new iPhones feature the latest Wi-Fi 7 technology, an upgrade from Wi-Fi 6E. The new
standard offers faster and more stable download speeds if you have a modem that supports it. This means you can download and upload data faster on your shiny new iPhone.
QuickTake video recording up to 4K at 60fps in Dolby Vision: Apple has upgraded QuickTake from 1080p to 4K.
This feature lets users record video without switching out of the default photo mode, and it's great for turning that perfect shot into a beautiful video.

Hidden mmWave antennas: While mmWave 5G is still only available in the US, Apple was able to hide the antennas on the iPhone 16 Pro
models and replace that area with a new Camera Control button. Interestingly, the company also finally removed the red antenna ring on the Apple Watch LTE models.
MagSafe charging is blazing fast: The iPhone 16 brings a big upgrade to wireless charging with new charging speeds of 25W and 15W.
Wireless charging speeds increase to 25W when using a MagSafe charger and 15W when using a Qi2 charger. To get the most power, you'll need a 30W or higher adapter and the new MagSafe charger.
For Qi2, you'll need a wireless charger that supports the new standard. Apple says the 25W MagSafe charger will give you a 50% charge in just 30 minutes.
