Leaked images of the iPhone SE 4 case have revealed many design features of this low-cost iPhone model.
According to 9to5Mac, technology leaker
@SonnyDickson in a recent post on social network X (Twitter) shared an image of a case designed for the iPhone SE 4 model.
While these images don't reveal many groundbreaking details, we can see some design features of the iPhone model expected to launch next spring.

Single rear camera
While the iPhone SE 4 is said to be based on the iPhone 14 design, it won't have the same dual-camera system.
That means there won't be an ultra-wide-angle camera. However, the iPhone SE 4 is still expected to feature a 48MP main sensor, similar to the iPhone 15.
Although the device only has one camera sensor on the back, it still supports two different focal lengths. At 1x, the 48MP sensor will be combined to create a 12MP image.
Meanwhile, at 2x, the device will zoom in on the middle part of the 12MP image from the 48MP sensor. Apple claims that this method provides image quality equivalent to optical zoom.

Physical mute switch
There have been rumors that the new iPhone SE will have an Action button, but recent leaks have suggested otherwise.
Leaked case images show a cutout for the mute switch in the upper left corner, rather than a separate button like the iPhone 15 Pro and later models.
No camera control button
There are no rumors that Apple's budget iPhone will have a new camera control button like the one on the iPhone 16 series.
The case images confirm that, as there are no holes on the bottom right side of the case, nor is there a gap for a magnetic button like on Apple's cases.
Apple is expected to launch the iPhone SE 4 next spring for around $500.
The new low-cost iPhone will likely feature a 6.1-inch OLED display, USB-C port, 48MP camera, Face ID, and more.
If the latest rumor from 9to5Mac is true, one of the most exciting things about the iPhone SE 4 is that it could be the first iPhone to feature Apple's first in-house 5G modem.
In addition to saving Apple money, the company's own 5G modem could be a big step forward in performance and efficiency.
Rumors suggest the Cupertino-based company's 5G modem will enable better hardware and software integration on the iPhone SE, which should improve battery life and, in theory, make for a stronger and more stable connection.
