Samsung and Google may be the big names in the Android smartphone space, but there's still Sony .
The electronics giant has been quietly making Xperia phones for years, and the Xperia 1 VI has just received a few interesting updates, including Wi-Fi 7 support.
The second update is a completely new color option for those who are bored with the familiar black and silver versions commonly found on most smartphones.
Soon, users will have a version of Sony Xperia 1 VI with a brilliant red color.

Customers in Euroe can now order the Xperia 1 VI in the new red color.
However, the biggest drawback is that this version is only available in Europe at the moment, but it will soon be distributed to other markets around the world.
Configuration options for the new red version are also quite limited, with Sony only offering a matte finish and 512GB of storage.
There’s no official announcement of a US launch yet, but since this is Sony’s only flagship this year, it’s likely to be available at some point.
With a wealth of experience in the media and imaging industry, it's no surprise that the Xperia line is aimed at content creators and frequent users of Sony Alpha cameras.

But the Xperia 1 VI is a flagship that Android Police has found to be very suitable for the average user.
Sony often designs phones with very specific user segments in mind.
And while these devices excel at their intended tasks, they struggle in other areas, and are sometimes criticized for having confusing, difficult-to-use software.
The starting price for the Xperia 1 VI is 1,500 Euros (about 41 million VND), which is quite a high price for a phone with a non-folding screen design.
However, the phone comes with a host of premium features and equipment, including a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 512GB and 12GB RAM options, and a 5,000mAh battery.
The Xperia 1 VI is no slouch when it comes to hardware, and is promised to receive three major software updates over the course of its life - and now it's available in a striking red colour.
