Vivo launches three new flagships with huge batteries from 5,800 mAh, competing with Xiaomi and Oppo.
According to GSMArena, Vivo will officially launch three new flagship models on October 14 in its home market of China. The products include Vivo X200, X200 Pro mini and X200 Pro.
According to leaked information, the X200 Pro mini model will be equipped with a large capacity battery of 5,700 mAh. In particular, the standard version of Vivo X200 will have a slightly larger battery of 5,800 mAh.

To keep up with the technology trend, Vivo will also adopt new battery technology, allowing for larger capacity in a given volume. Meanwhile, competitors like Xiaomi 15 and Oppo Find X8 are expected to come with 5,400 mAh and 5,700 mAh batteries, respectively. It is worth noting that all these phones have compact designs.
According to tech leaker @Experiencemore on Weibo, the screen sizes of the Xiaomi 15, Oppo Find X8, and Vivo X200 are 6.3 inches, 6.5 inches, and 6.6 inches, respectively. This is quite surprising, as most compact flagships have struggled to achieve sales in the past, leading companies to switch to larger models.
One of the main reasons for this shift could be battery life. Even last year's models like the Oppo Find X7 with a 6.78-inch display only had a 5,000 mAh battery and weighed over 200 grams.
The use of a new silicon anode material in the battery seems to have fixed many of the issues such as poor battery life and large size. Oppo has confirmed that the Find X8 weighs less than 200 grams despite having a much larger battery, with leaks suggesting the phone is 7mm thick and weighs just 190 grams.
Additionally, Vivo's Pro and Ultra models will likely offer significantly longer battery life with capacities above 6,000mAh. @Experiencemore also notes that both Vivo and Xiaomi flagships support 90W wired fast charging, while the Find X8 has a slightly slower 80W charging. However, there is currently no information on the dimensions and weight of the Vivo X200.
Vivo has seen strong growth in China’s high-end market, largely due to iPhone users switching to its devices. To cater to these users, the Vivo X200 series will feature a flat-screen design similar to the iPhone, and the devices are said to be aimed at iPhone 16 buyers in the Chinese market.
The Vivo X200 features a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED flat display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, while the X200 Pro is said to come with a larger 6.7- or 6.8-inch micro-edge curved display, also with LTPO and 1.5K resolution.
In terms of camera, the Vivo X200 features a 50MP main camera with OIS, a wide-angle lens, and a 70mm periscope telephoto lens that offers 3x optical zoom.
The X200 Pro is rumored to include a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens for advanced zoom capabilities.
The series is expected to run the latest Origin OS 5 operating system, based on Android 15, providing a smooth user experience with advanced AI features and personalized interactions.
In terms of battery life, the X200 is expected to feature a 5,600mAh battery that supports 90W fast charging, while the Pro version could offer a larger 6,000mAh battery.
