Vivo X200 launched with "huge" battery, extremely strong chip

Vivo X200 has been officially launched with powerful chip, high-end camera and four-sided curved screen.

The standard Vivo X200 has been announced recently. It has some of the same advanced features as the Pro version, including a new generation of Zeiss cameras, a powerful chip, and a sturdy, attractive design.

Specifically, the Vivo X200 is equipped with the Dimensity 9400, manufactured on the second-generation 3nm process. This chip has Cortex-X925 cores at 3.626GHz and is combined with up to 16GB of RAM, which can be doubled with virtual RAM. The device's internal memory can be expanded using Vivo's storage compression technology.

The Vivo X200 features a 6.67-inch 10-bit LTPS 4-sided curved display with HDR10+ support and Zeiss Natural Color, promising industry-leading color accuracy. The display uses high-frequency PWM dimming technology for a flicker-free experience and can reach a brightness of 4,500 nits. The display also offers 3x longer lifespan than other OLED displays and lower power consumption, and an optical fingerprint scanner.

In terms of photography, the Vivo phone has a 50MP main camera, using a 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX921 sensor. The sensor is behind a Zeiss lens with T* coating.

The rear camera cluster also includes a 50MP telephoto camera with a 1/1.95-inch IMX882 sensor, 70mm focal length, f/2.57 aperture, capable of taking photos (with T* coating); a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 15mm focal length. This camera cluster can record 4K video at 120fps with 10-bit log color.

The phone is powered by a 5,800mAh BlueVolt battery, which supports 90W wired charging. Despite the larger battery capacity, the Vivo X200 is not too bulky at 7.99mm thick.

With IP69 dust and water resistance, the phone is resistant to hot water jets.

The new Vivo X200 series also comes with offline capabilities, offering the ability to send messages up to 1km away from cellular coverage. So users can send SOS messages, 1-to-1 text messages; share their location.

On the software side, the Vivo X200 runs the OriginOS 5 user interface. New features that come with it include: Origin Island (similar to Dynamic Island) and a custom version of the "search circle".

Like the Vivo X200 Pro, the Vivo X200 comes in Sapphire Blue, Titanium Gray, Moonlight White, and Carbon Black. The new Sapphire Blue version offers a color-changing effect when the light angle changes.

The Vivo X200 is now available for pre-order and will be available starting October 19. The base model with 12GB RAM/256GB storage starts at 4,300 yuan (approximately $670). Other storage options include 12GB RAM/512GB storage for 4,700 yuan (approximately $770), 16GB RAM/512GB storage for 5,000 yuan (approximately $770), and the top-end model with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage for 5,500 yuan (approximately $770).

It is still unclear when the device will launch globally.
