Samsung continues to "tease" next year's super product

Following Apple and many other tech giants, Samsung will introduce mixed reality glasses next year.

Samsung just announced its earnings for the third quarter of this year, and now the company has big ambitions for next year. The company has teased an XR (Mixed Reality) device that will launch in 2025.

Earlier this year, Samsung teased its upcoming XR device during the Galaxy S24 announcement. The company revealed that it was working with Google and Qualcomm on the project. Reports suggest that Samsung will use a new version of Android optimized specifically for XR devices along with Qualcomm's Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chip.

Other than that, not much is known about the specs of Samsung’s XR device. However, some rumors suggest that it could be XR glasses instead of headphones. This form factor would provide convenient and seamless access to the Gemini’s power.

Additionally, the tech giant also confirmed that the Galaxy S25 series will launch in the first half of 2025, following the usual release cycle for the Galaxy S series. The company also announced plans to enhance its Galaxy AI features "to drive innovation in everyday life" and boost sales for the series.

Previously, its "rival" - Apple already had Vision Pro glasses. In addition, Meta has its own AR/VR headset and Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses - which have achieved considerable success since their launch.

Rumors of the Galaxy S25 Slim emerged in the context of the super-thin foldable phone Honor Magic V3 is causing a fever in the market. It seems that Samsung also wants to join this "thin and light" race with the Galaxy S25 Slim.

Leaker @Jukanlosreve said that the Galaxy S25 Slim could be a "remake" version of the Galaxy S25 FE, after the S24 FE generation received negative feedback. The device is expected to use the Exynos 2400 chip. Korean news site ET News also reported the appearance of the Galaxy S25 Slim, based on sources from "multiple industry insiders".

If the Galaxy S25 Slim is successful, it could be the start of a major change in Samsung’s Galaxy S line. The company has previously apologized for its lack of innovation in smartphone design. There are even rumors that Samsung may kill the Galaxy brand in the future.

Will the Galaxy S25 Slim really launch and "compete" with the iPhone 17 Slim rumored to launch late next year? Let's wait and see!
