This is the world's first IP69 dust and water resistant smartphone

More specifically, this product will be first launched in the Vietnamese market on November 26.

Realme has just announced that it will officially introduce the C75 smartphone in the Vietnamese market on November 26.

This will be the first product in the Vietnamese market to possess the highest dust and water resistance standards in the IP (Ingress Protection)

rating of the international classification system, up to IP69 (previously the highest smartphones only reached IP68).

IP69 dust and water resistance was unprecedented on a smartphone, until the Realme C75 appeared.

IP69 dust and water resistance was unprecedented on a smartphone, until the Realme C75 appeared.

Ingress Protection (IP) standards are used to evaluate the protection of electronic devices against the intrusion of solid objects (such as dust) and liquids (such as water).

In the IP classification system, the first number indicates the level of dust resistance, and the second number indicates the level of water resistance. Common standards today include IP52, IP53, IP54, IP64, IP66, IP68, etc.

Each of these standards meets different levels of protection, requiring the electronic device to undergo multiple tests in harsh environmental conditions.

IP66 ensures that no dust particles can penetrate the device.

This is useful for users in dusty environments, construction sites, or places that require thorough protection from dust particles.

In terms of water resistance, IP66 ensures that the device can withstand strong water jets from any direction without affecting its functionality.

This is a suitable level of water resistance for devices used outdoors, to

withstand rain, or to be used in conditions that are likely to be exposed to frequent splashes of water.

IP68 also has absolute dust protection with a very high water resistance standard,

commonly found in high-end electronic devices such as phones, smart watches and outdoor devices.

The main difference is water resistance, as the IP68 standard allows the device to be completely submerged in water at a depth of 1.5

meters to more than 3 meters for a long time without affecting the device's functionality.

The specific depth and immersion time of IP68 may vary from device to device and is specified by the manufacturer.

Thanks to the high level of protection, IP68-certified devices can operate well in unexpected water situations, making them ideal for users who need a durable device even when operating outdoors or in prolonged wet environments.

As for IP69 on Realme C75, according to the manufacturer, the device can withstand extremely strong water jets with extremely high pressure and even high temperature water (about 80 degrees Celsius). With IP69 standard, Realme C75 is not only dustproof and waterproof but also has the ability to withstand harsh conditions, meeting the needs of use in all circumstances that modern users expect.
