Apple is expected to launch a new iPad Air in spring 2025, with a new processor, Magic Keyboard, and promising display improvements.
According to Bloomberg, Apple is expected to introduce a new version of the iPad Air in the spring of 2025, with many notable improvements.
The current version of the iPad Air was upgraded with the M2 chip earlier this year, suggesting that the time between product refreshes will be shortened to 12
months, instead of 18 to 24 months as before.
Among the improvements that could appear, a new Magic Keyboard dedicated to the iPad Air will be a highlight.
Currently, the iPad Air still uses the original Magic Keyboard design from 2020, while other iPad models have upgraded versions.

According to analyst Mark Gurman, the new keyboard will have the same row of functions as the iPad Keyboard model, but without the aluminum case like the iPad Pro version .
This could help reduce the starting price of the new keyboard, which currently stands at $299 for the 11-inch version and $349 for the 13-inch version.
Apple is also considering upgrading the iPad Air's display, possibly with a 90Hz display.
One source said Apple is working on LCD screens with higher refresh rates, but this information has not been confirmed by other industry experts.

In terms of performance, the new iPad Air could be equipped with an M3 or M4 chip.
Although there is no specific information, a chip upgrade is almost certain.
Apple may choose the M3 chip, but it does not rule out the possibility of using the higher-performance M4 chip to differentiate itself from the iPad Pro models.
Notably, there are reports that the next-generation iPad Air could feature FaceID facial recognition technology.
However, Gurman also emphasized that Apple may want to keep a distance between the iPad Air and iPad Pro so as not to lose the uniqueness of each product line.
Finally, some other potential features that could appear on the new iPad Air include a standard 600 nits display brightness, Wi-Fi 7 support, a rear LED flash, and Thunderbolt support.
These are still speculations and will need to be confirmed in the coming months, but they do show that Apple is constantly working to improve and enhance the user experience on its products.
