Over the years, users have probably seen dozens (even hundreds) of mobile phones.
The thing is, there are some products that stand out not just because of their quality but also because of their unique appearance. Here are some of the strangely designed smartphones that users have seen being launched.
Samsung Galaxy Beam
If you are familiar with Samsung mobile phones , there is one thing that this model has that is very different from other models: Beam. The problem is that it is not only that, because the “Beam” mentioned works as a kind of projector.
This mobile phone, innovative for some and strange for others, was launched in 2012. On one end, it houses a projector with a resolution of 620 x 360 px. The product also has a 5 MP main camera and a 2000 mAh battery - values that today seem to be from the “last century”.
LG Wing
Another model that users may find strange is the LG Wing. It was launched in 2020 and has a rotating display that overlaps the main screen. In other words, LG’s proposal involves allowing users to operate the phone with it in a “T” shape.
Indeed, there is no denying that this is an interesting concept, for example in terms of multitasking. The user could very well be talking to someone via text message, while simultaneously watching any video on YouTube.
Even for gamers, having two screens can help. As LG explains, “the main game image is on the main screen and the game map is on the secondary screen.”
Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom
Finally, it's also important to mention the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom, which launched in 2013, and which had a different look than usual. As Android Police explains, one of the brand's biggest marketing focuses for the product was the 10x optical zoom lens on the back.
As shown in the video, this is what the Galaxy S4 Zoom looks like. At first glance, it might even look like a camera. The less positive thing about this is that it is naturally heavier than most other smartphones.
