Analysts say the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 could feature larger screens than their predecessors.
Now, rumors about upcoming Samsung phones have started circulating the internet. The latest rumor mentions the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 may feature larger displays.
According to reputable display analyst Ross Young, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will have a Galaxy Fold Special Edition display: an 8-inch foldable display and a 6.5-inch external display. Previously, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 had a 7.6-inch foldable display and a 6.3-inch external display.
Meanwhile, the company's clamshell foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, will also have larger screen sizes — a 6.85-inch foldable display and a 4-inch cover display. Currently, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 has a 6.7-inch foldable display and a 3.4-inch cover display.
The growth isn't exactly groundbreaking, but it's certainly noticeable. If this leak is accurate, we're in for a nice upgrade with the Galaxy Z next year.
Rumors about the next Galaxy Z series.
This information comes shortly after an analysis by DCSS revealed that Samsung is having trouble with Galaxy Z Flip 6 sales in the third quarter of 2024. The report pointed out that their screen shipments were 10% lower than last year and the product received little attention from the US and China.
However, it is not just Samsung that is having trouble with foldable smartphone sales . Huawei is also ordering fewer screens. The report indicates that the foldable screen market will slow down by 2025.
Traditionally, the next Galaxy Z series could launch next summer, and we should hear more details about them in the coming months.
