The alleged metal frame of the iPhone 17 Pro has just leaked, revealing a completely different design than what everyone is familiar with.
While the authenticity of the image remains unclear, if accurate, the new chassis could provide important clues about the design changes of the iPhone 17 Pro.
The image is believed to be the iPhone 17 Pro frame.
Apple hasn’t made any major design changes to the iPhone over the years, especially since the iPhone 12. The design of recent iPhone models has remained the same, including the camera module. The camera module has basically retained the same square module style with three lenses arranged in a triangle. Although the camera module has gotten larger due to the increased sensor size, the basic design has remained the same.
Now, a new leaked image shows that the iPhone 17 Pro's camera module may no longer be square as before, but will be elongated and rectangular with the cameras arranged in a linear manner. This shows a significant change in design, with the ultra-wide camera placed in the middle to make room for the front-facing flash structure.
The new frame also has two cutouts, suggesting the camera module will be made of a different material, while the bottom part will be glass to support wireless charging. According to a source from Chat Digital Station on Chinese social network Weibo, this is the frame that Apple is producing in the supply chain.
Renders offer fresh look of iPhone 17 Pro?
The new design is reminiscent of Google's recent Pixel models, although the camera setup will be more powerful. The large camera module makes users curious about how Apple will organize the sensors and whether the smoothness in switching between cameras will be maintained.
In addition to the changes on the back, the iPhone 17 Pro will likely have a smaller Dynamic Island thanks to the Face ID sensor placed under the screen. The camera will also receive significant improvements, including a 48MP telephoto lens and a 24MP front camera. Inside, the iPhone 17 Pro is expected to feature a new A19 Pro chip, increase RAM to 12GB, and use an Apple-designed Wi-Fi 7 chip to optimize performance and connectivity.
Although there is still a lot of unconfirmed information, these leaks are gradually forming a clear picture of the iPhone 17 Pro.
