The iPhone 16 series is about to launch but some leaked sources have pointed
towards the iPhone 17
with the most attractive name being constantly mentioned as the iPhone 17 Slim.

However, iPhone 17 Slim may not be the official name of the product when it lau
nches because the latest report from FrontPageTech says that this super-thin iPhone model will be called iPhone 17 Air.
The iPhone 17 Air will be chosen over the iPhone 17 Slim.
The iPhone 17 Air will be chosen over the iPhone 17 Slim.
The name makes sense because Apple already has an iPad Air line that sits between the basic iPad and the iPad Pro. The iPad Air w
as previously positioned as an ultra-thin option (though it’s not as thin as the latest iPad Pros), while the MacBook Air was simila
rly positioned as an ultra-thin Mac.
FrontPageTech has also shared some renders they created of the alleged iPhone 17 Air design, showing it to have a design that w
ill be quite familiar to iPhone users, complete with Dynamic Island but with a significantly slimmer profile and only a single rear camera.

The source reiterates some previously leaked specs, saying that the iPhone 17
Air may use less titanium in its chassis than the Pro models and may not come with the best chip available on next year's iPhones. The new sources say it will use the A19 chip instead of the A
9 Pro that the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max are likely to feature.

However, the iPhone 17 Air could be around 5mm thick. Previously, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus were 7.8mm thick, while the iPhon
e 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max were 8.3mm thick. Therefore, the iPhone 17 Air will be significantly thinner.
FrontPageTech also reiterated some previously leaked display specs, including t
hat the iPhone 17 Air could feature a 6.6-inch display with a resolution of 1,260 x 2,740 pixels. This product is considered Apple's stranges
t product, offering "outdated" specifications but is expected to sell at the highest price in the iPhone 17 line, which is higher than the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
