Is your latest iPhone charging slowly? Here's how to charge your iPhone 16 series faster, according to tech site 5to9Mac.
Modern phones like the iPhone 16 typically have large batteries. Charging can ta
ke around 4 hours using the slowest charging methods available. However, under the
best of conditions, you can fast charge an iPhone from empty to 50% in 30 minutes, with a full charge of 100% in around 2 hours.

The best way to tell if you're charging your phone using suboptimal methods is to
watch how long it takes to charge from 0 to 100%. If it's taking hours, you're probably not using the fastest charging accessory possible.
If you only charge your iPhone overnight while you sleep, slow charging may not matter to you. But if you use your iPhone frequently duri
ng the day, fast charging is convenient.
Additionally, iOS 18’s UI will show users a pretty detailed charging graph. User
s just need to navigate to Settings -> Battery to see a graph of the battery level over the past 24 hours. If u
sing a slow charger, an orange warning text will appear. The time when slow charging occurs is marked in orange on the graph.
How to fast charge iPhone 16 with USB-C
The iPhone supports charging speeds of up to 27 watts, using a charging cable plugged into the USB-C port. Using a 30-watt charg
er, you can fully charge the iPhone 16 in about 2 hours.
To get that top speed, you'll need a USB-C cable and a USB-C charger. iFans can check out Mophie's compact 30-watt charger or Apple's convenient 35-watt dual charger. As for cables, you can use almost any USB-C cable, including the one that comes in the iPhone box. With these accessories, your iPhone will fast charge from 0 to 50% in about 30 minutes, then take another hour and a half to reach 100%.

If you don't have a 30-watt charger, iPhone users can get similar results using a 20-watt charger. The 20-watt charger will charge the iPhone almost as fast as the 30-watt charger, with only about 15 minutes of delay on a full charge.
Note: Users can safely use a charger with a capacity higher than 30 watts, for example the one that comes with the MacBook, but the iPhone will only charge at a maximum of 27 watts.
How to fast charge iPhone 16 wirelessly with MagSafe charger
With the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro, users can also fast charge wirelessly with the MagSafe charger. To do this, you will need to buy a new MagSafe charger that is capable of fast charging. Apple recommends pairing it with its 30-watt charger.

The new MagSafe charging docks can charge the iPhone 16 models at 25 watts. Older MagSafes (and other Qi charging accessories) are limited to 15 watts.
Wireless charging is typically a little less efficient, and as the battery heats up due to the inductive charging coils, the phone charges more slowly to protect the battery cells. But with the new MagSafe charger, you can charge from 0 to 50% in about half an hour, just like wired USB-C charging. If you want to charge to 100%, wait another 2 hours or so.
