Xiaomi is developing a high-end tablet to compete with Apple's iPad

Xiaomi is developing a new tablet model with modern features, targeting the high-end segment.

Xiaomi is preparing to launch a new product with impressive battery and charging technology. According to information from blogger @DigitalChatStation (DCS), this device will be equipped with a two-cell battery with a capacity of up to 5,900 mAh, equivalent to a single 12,000 mAh battery, promising to provide long-lasting use. In particular, the device also supports 120W fast charging, allowing users to charge the battery significantly faster than previous models.

While the specific model has yet to be confirmed, multiple sources have suggested that this could be a new tablet . It was previously reported that Xiaomi is planning to launch an OLED tablet in 2025, with an 11-inch display, 144Hz refresh rate, a top-of-the-line Snapdragon processor, up to 24GB of RAM, and 120W fast charging. The design of the tablet is said to be similar to the Xiaomi Pad 6 series.

However, DCS also emphasized that this tablet model is not part of Xiaomi's Redmi series and is expected to cost around 4,000 yuan (about 13.9 million VND). For comparison, the current top-end version of the Pad 7 Pro (12GB + 512GB) costs 3,499 yuan (about 12.1 million VND), suggesting that this new tablet may be aimed at the high-end segment, competing directly with Apple's iPad.

Xiaomi launched the Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro series along with the Xiaomi 15 series in China in October. Both tablets feature an 11.2-inch 3K anti-glare LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, eye protection, and paper-like features for using a stylus. The Pad 7 is powered by a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor, while the Pro version uses a more powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.
