The new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip is built on TSMC's 3nm process and features a 7-core CPU, in
cluding two main cores running at up to 4.32 GHz and five high-performance cores running at up to 3.53 GHz. Compared to the previous Snapdragon 8 Elite version, t
his new version lacks a high-performance core, suggesting that this could be a cut-down version with a lower cost.

The highlight of the new chip is that one CPU core is disabled, which helps reduce the heat generated
, making it more suitable for ultra-thin and foldable smartphones. This chip is expected to be equipped with the Ga
laxy Z Flip7, Galaxy Z Fold7 and possibly the Galaxy S25 Slim.
Samsung 's new foldable smartphone models are expected to officially launch in mid-2025, while the Galaxy S25 Slim could be introduced in May this year.
