The super-thin iPhone 17 Air suddenly makes a lot more sense after the new rumored price.
Last month, The Wall Street Journal reported that the iPhone 17 Air will cost less than the iPhone Pro
models, contrary to rumors that the new ultra-thin iPhone will cost more than the iPhone Pro Max models.

In a new report, The Wall Street Journal reported on the iPhone 17 Air model:
"Starting next year, Apple plans to introduce a thinner iPhone than the current iPhone models, whi
ch are about 8mm thick. This iPhone model is expected to be cheaper than the iPhone Pro models, and the
camera system will be simplified to reduce costs."
This contradicts previous rumors. In May, The Information reported that the thinner iPhone coul
d be released simultaneously with the iPhone 17, expected in September 2025. This "super product" w
ill cost more than the iPhone Pro Max, currently Apple's most expensive iPhone model.

Why is this important?
Obviously, with a thinner iPhone with fewer features, short battery life, and only a single rear camera, they can't be priced higher than the high-end iPhone Pro Max. Sure, th
ey'll have a very nice design and will likely lay the groundwork for thinner iPhones in the future, but the sky-high price tag just doesn't make sense.

More recently, many sources have confirmed that the iPhone 17 Air will not have a second speaker, relying
only on the internal speaker to produce sound. With so many trade-offs, this iPhone should not be too expensive.
However, there is still a possibility that the price of the iPhone 17 Pro will increase. The iPhone 17 Air is expected to cost less than $ 1,000 (about 25.4 million VND). I
f the iPhone 17 Pro does not increase in price, the price of the iPhone 17 Air will only be $ 899 (about 22.7 million VND), the same price as the iPhone 16 Plus.
This reasonable price will make the iPhone 17 Air attract more iFans who want to own an ultra-thi
n iPhone, do not need the camera's outstanding capabilities or long battery life.
