The thickness and price of the iPhone 17 Air - the super thin iPhone has been revealed in the latest report.
According to rumors, the iPhone 17 Air will replace the iPhone Plus line. This super-thin iPhone will also not be as expensive as expected. A new report says that the iPhone 17 Air will be priced the same as the previous iPhone Plus.
This means the iPhone Air model will start at around $800. The iPhone 17 Air is expected to have less powerful specs than its “brothers” and is aimed at users who value aesthetics.

The phone will reportedly be just 6.25mm thick. The standard iPhone 16 model was previously 7.8mm thick.
The iPhone Plus models are the replacements for the previously released iPhone mini. The iPhone 17 Air is Apple's latest attempt at creating a new iPhone model aimed at a specific segment.
Samsung — Apple’s biggest rival in the smartphone industry — is also working on a slimmer smartphone. The Galaxy S25 Slim was reportedly finalized when news of the iPhone 17 Air first began to emerge. It will also be roughly the same thickness as the iPhone 17 Air.
Unlike the iPhone 17 Air, however, the Galaxy S25 Slim will feature an “Ultra camera” and will not be launched alongside the rest of the Galaxy S25 lineup. It is expected to be unveiled this month at the Galaxy Unpacked event and go on sale later this year.

Interestingly, the report claims that the iPhone 17 Air will be a separate product. Apple's decision to replace the iPhone Plus model with the iPhone Air only came after the iPhone Plus continued to suffer from poor sales.
According to experts, the iPhone 17 Air has a better chance of attracting users because the product will offer something special: beautiful appearance. If the specifications are good enough, it can easily become one of the best phones in 2025.
