l remain largely unchanged across the entire 2025 iPhone 17 lineup."

The iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to be the only iPhone model in the 2026 iPhone lineup to feature this feature. However, a similar system is also expected to be included in the future iPad Pro as well as the foldable iPad.

Restricting a feature to the most expensive iPhone isn't exactly new for Apple. In the iPhone 15 generation, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is the only model with a new Tetraprism lens, which allows users to get a higher level of optical zoom.
Apple’s changes to the front-facing camera to make the Dynamic Island smaller are seen as an exclusive benefit of the iPhone Pro Max, which would give Apple a chance to boost sales of the most expensive iPhone model in its lineup.
Other rumored changes coming to the iPhone 17 generation include: a 48MP telephoto camera on the iPhone Pro models, a new ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air model, improved cooling, and an upgraded front camera to 24MP.
