The Galaxy S25 series comes with a host of AI features that may make many older Galaxy smartphone users drool.
Luckily, Google hasn't left these folks or their Pixel users feeling left out as th
e company has given them access to one of the Galaxy S25 series' most prominent new AI features.

Specifically, Gemini's Talk Live shortcut has now been rolled out to Pixel 9 users and the 2024 Galaxy S24 series. This informatio
n was confirmed in a Google blog post last week, but may have been missed by many due to the attention on the Galaxy S25 launch event.
Gemini's Talk Live shortcut is designed to improve the experience of interacting with AI. Instead of having to manually type in question
s, users can instantly interact with Gemini based on the content displayed on the screen, including images, videos, or documents.
The way this feature works is simple:
- Activate Gemini by pressing and holding the power button or using voice commands.
- Shortcut buttons will appear on the Gemini overlay providing contextual prompts based on the content the user is viewing.

- Tapping a shortcut button will automatically bring the content (URL, page data, or entire file) into Gemini and launch live chat.
This feature makes it easy for users to get AI assistance without having to copy and paste information or switch between apps.
Google says the feature is already available to Pixel 9 users, but not everyone will be able to use it right away. The feature has be
en successfully tested on a Pixel 9 Pro XL running Gemini v1.0.686588308 and Google app v16.2.40. However, some Galaxy S24
Ultra users have yet to see the feature enabled, suggesting it's a phased rollout.
Users can also customize how Gemini Talk Live works. By default, images, videos, and files will automatically be sent to Gemini when the shortcut is used. However, if users want more control, they can press and hold the shortcut to turn off the auto-send feature.
But users of older Galaxy smartphones can also get the same.

Gemini Talk Live's rollout on Google phones was expected, similar to how Circle to Search debuted on the Galaxy S24 before coming to Pixel 8 and other Android devices. A year later, Circle to Search is standard on Android, and it's likely that Gemini Talk Live will follow a similar trajectory.
For Galaxy S25 series users, Samsung has retained some of its own unique AI features, including Now Brief (a smarter take on Google's At a Glance widget that summarizes a user's day with AI-powered insights), or cross-app actions that seamlessly perform complex tasks across multiple apps.
The Galaxy S25 series will officially be available from February 7, and users will soon be able to experience these new AI features. Some Galaxy S25 pre-orders have even shipped earlier than expected.
