Samsung launched a low-cost version of the Galaxy Buds headphones, called the first Galaxy Buds FE in October 2023.
Not only does the Galaxy Buds FE come at a lower price than the standard version, it also offers impressive battery life, good sound quality, active noise cancellation (ANC), ambient sound, and many other attractive features.
Fans of Samsung's wireless headphones are about to get a new low-cost option.
After 2 years, the Korean company may introduce the successor to the Galaxy Buds FE. According to information from GalaxyClub, the company is currently developing the Galaxy Buds FE 2 with plans to replace the first version when it launches. The new earphones with model number SM-R410 have been discovered, indicating that the product is in the development process along with the related software. This is completely reasonable because the current Galaxy Buds FE has model number SM-R400N.
While there are no details on the new features, the Galaxy Buds FE 2 are likely to launch later this year. Development is reportedly well underway and the product could hit stores before summer. The original Galaxy Buds FE were priced at $99.99, and many expect the Galaxy Buds FE 2 to be priced similarly at launch.
The Galaxy Buds FE have been out for almost 2 years.
Last year, Samsung introduced two new models, the Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, but there was no other affordable option besides the Galaxy Buds FE. However, that could change with the launch of the Galaxy Buds FE 2. The new model is expected to retain features like ANC and ambient sound, while also possibly improving battery life.
The Galaxy Buds FE currently offers 8.5 hours of playback with the earbuds alone and 30 hours with the charging case. With ANC turned on, playback time drops to 6 hours with the earbuds and 21 hours with the charging case.
